Viagra is one of a growing number of drugs that will soon be available in the U. S. for men over 18 years of age. But the drug's popularity is on a more steady decline as men age.
This trend may be changing as more people seek out Viagra as a treatment for ED, but experts don't know exactly how this drug might affect the overall market for Viagra.
Viagra is currently available in the U. for men over 18 years of age, but it's expected to go on the market soon, with new research expected to determine how long it can be used by men.
According to a new study by the drug company Cogstate, Viagra can be purchased with one of its medications, sildenafil, at about $60 a pill, compared to $10 for a 50 milligram tablet of Viagra or 30 milligram tablets of Sildenafil. Sildenafil and Viagra are known as PDE5 inhibitors, and have been on the market since 1998, with many companies claiming they are effective for impotence.
The research was done by Cogstate, which also is a research and development company, which recently launched its first-ever generic version of Viagra.
It is also known as Pfizer's Viagra, but the drug's active ingredient is sildenafil. It's also sold under various brand names, including Revatio.
The Cogstate study found that men who bought Viagra were less likely to suffer from ED. They also saw an increase in overall ED prevalence.
But Viagra isn't a treatment for ED, which is why the drug is known as the little blue pill, which means the drug won't actually be a big deal for some men.
